As many as you have. One tour works perfectly well on its own if you are passing through; four or five across a week covers most of what people come for. We will tell you honestly when you have booked enough.
Usually, from about four travelling days. We run the sums both ways before recommending one, and we will tell you when point-to-point tickets are cheaper.
Every itinerary carries a wet-weather alternative for the mountain days. Cable cars close for wind more often than for snow, and we watch the forecast for you.
Most main lines and many mountain railways are step-free, but not all. Tell us early and we will route around the ones that are not.
Four months for July, August and the Christmas fortnight. Six weeks is usually enough for the shoulder seasons, which are the better months anyway.
